Mr. Bains holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology from Chico State University and a Master of Science degree from San Diego State University in School Counseling.

Mr. Bains is prepared to make meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues that will help build a positive school culture. He’s passionate about helping ALL students navigate through creative and innovative education designed to give them the opportunity to acquire, apply, and practice the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to fulfill their adult roles and responsibilities. His goal is to ensure that ALL students have the tools and resources to become successful and develop to their full potential.

During his free time he enjoys helping his father out on the family ranch. Some activities he enjoys doing is playing basketball and hiking. He’s an avid fan of the Sacramento Kings and San Francisco 49ers.

Hi Panthers! I’m Ms. Gilchrist, and I am excited to introduce myself as your new counselor at West Park. As I step into this new role, I look forward to connecting with all of you and learning about your unique experiences, goals, and aspirations. I love helping students and am committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment. For the past eight years, I have had the privilege to be a counselor at Antelope, where I focused on building authentic relationships and providing student-centered support. I am eager to get to know you and to be a part of the Panther family! Please stop by and say hello.

Mrs. Hildebrand is in her fifth year as a West Park High School counselor, and is thrilled to be a Panther!  Prior to joining West Park, she was a counselor at Woodcreek for 6 years and Head Counselor at Foothill High School in North Highlands for 9 years.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Math from CSU Fresno, and a Master of Science degree in Educational Counseling from National University.

Mrs. Hildebrand is passionate about supporting students, ensuring their success in the classroom, and preparing them for life after high school.

Mrs. Hildebrand lives in Roseville with her husband, 4 kids and 3 dogs. She enjoys dancing, cooking, music, and spending time with her friends and family.

I started at West Park in the fall of 2022 and I am so excited to be a part of this team! 

I am entering my fourth year as a school counselor and have experience working with middle and high school students. I was born and raised in Southern California but decided to venture out to Northern California for college. I received my Bachelor's in Child Development from Sacramento 

State and Master’s in Educational Counseling from National University. I am passionate about working with students to help them navigate their high school years, learn to overcome obstacles, and develop goals for their future. My goal as a school counselor is to help ALL students reach their fullest potential by meeting their unique needs. 

I was recently married. During my free time, I enjoy staying active, hanging out with my dog, and cooking!

Mr. Simmons is in his third year as a West Park High School Counselor.  Prior to West Park, Mr. Simmons was the Counselor and Director of Student Support at a 6-12 charter school in the LA area. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Master of Arts in School Counseling from California State University, Dominguez Hills. 

Mr. Simmons desires to see all students become active and engaged life-long learners. One of his goals is to foster positive connections for students in their relationships with one another, with their teachers, their families and with their learning. 

In his spare time, Mr. Simmons enjoys hiking and camping with his wife and 3 kids. He is also an avid guitar player and is always looking for an opportunity to make some music with his friends.
