WORK PERMITS

 

Work Permit Form

You must first be offered the job before obtaining a Work Permit.

Please allow up to 48 hours for processing.

Expire August 15th each year regardless of when the Permit was issued.

 

Obtaining a Work Permit at West Park High School
(Aug 5 - June 5)

  • Drop off your completed* work permit application with Ms. Luna in the Counseling Department
    *The following sections must be completed before your work permit is processed: Student info with SSN, Employer info and signature, Parent signature. An incomplete work permit application will delay the processing time of your permit.
  • Students will be notified via email when the work permit is ready for pick-up. Students must be present at pick-up. Work permits may take 24 hours to process.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must currently have a 2.0+ GPA
  • No more than 1 "F"
  • Satisfactory attendance

When a Work Permit is Required:

  • Student is enrolled in high school (not needed if graduated)
  • Under the age of 18 (students do not need a Permit once they turn 18)
  • Under the age of 18 and graduated (a Permit is not needed if a student graduates and has not yet turned 18)

Restrictions:

  • The number of hours is determined by the State of California. See hours on page 2 of the application.
  • Must maintain a 2.0 GPA and remain in good standing with the school.
