We’re less than a month away from the FAFSA/CADAA opening! Complete steps 1-3 now before it opens!To Do Before December 1st
- Step 1: Parents and Students - Create an FSA ID
Parents and Students must create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID to access and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form online.
- Step 2: Parents and Students: Learn all that you can!
- Step 3: Parents and Students: Gather your Documents!
Here are the documents you will want to gather to prepare for the FAFSA.

- Your Social Security Number
- Your A-Number (if you're not a U.S. citizen)
- Federal income tax returns; records of child support received; and your current balance of cash, savings, and checking accounts (Note: You must provide consent and approval to disclose your federal tax information to be eligible for federal student aid.)
- Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
- Records of net worth of investments, businesses, and farms
- Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
- Your FSA ID (account username and password) to log in to StudentAid.gov and start the FAFSA form electronically
To Do from December 1st through March 2, 2025
- Step 4: Parents and Students: Apply and submit your FAFSA

Attend the Financial Aid Workshop presented by CSAC on December 5th for drop-in support. Bring your device and the specific questions related to your FAFSA/CADAA. CSAC representatives will be here to help families who have questions or concerns about their FAFSA application.
