Before you come to West Park, please be sure to return your devices and textbooks to your middle school. We are in a different school district, so we are unable to assist you with this. Your fines/obligations will be shared with us, so please take care of this before arriving for Panther Pick-Up Days and Freshman Orientation.

Incoming 9th graders/new students cannot RSVP until they have their Student ID. Parents can find this when they login to their Homelink/Aeries account. Watch for emails and notifications from the district and our site around July 15th when the district has these accounts ready for parents to access. (Directions)

Once the Parent Homelink/Aeries Account is created, parents must login and complete the Data Confirmation. This requires parents to update emergency contact information, medical information, and more. This process is required each and every year for every student through their completion of high school. • Once you gain access to your Parent Homelink/Aeries Account, you can now find your student's ID number. (Directions)
• Student ID's should be memorized by your student for regular use during the school year (e.g. access breakfast/lunch/snack, make purchases, check out books). 

• Have your Student ID number ready (go through the directions above if you don't have it)
• Go to the Online Student Store
• Select "Class of 2030 Orientation Registration"
• Once you select it, you will have the option to donate $20 which helps cover the cost of the shirt, lunch, and various Freshman activities throughout the school year. (Note: Donations are not not required to RSVP, participate in Orientation, or to receive a Class of 2030 shirt.)

Panther Pick-Up Days are two days we open up the campus and invite all students who will be attending in the fall to take care of anything they might need to be ready for the first day of school (e.g. checking out laptops, getting their school photos taken, picking up merchandise they ordered through our online store, getting assistance, touring the campus). At Freshman Orientation, your student will learn what it means to be a West Park Panther. Drop your student off between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. The morning will begin with a high-energy rally followed by a student-led orientation. Your student will be placed in a group with 9 other 9th Graders and 2 upperclassmen leaders. This will be your students ‘Link Crew’ for the rest of the year. Your student can expect a day of fun, the opportunity to make new friends, and a tour of the campus so they know where to go on the first day of school. Sorry parents, this is a student-only event!

Itinerary

• 8:00am - 8:30am - Students say good-bye to their parents and check-in at tables located inside of the front gates
• 8:30am - 9:15am - Kick-Off Rally (gym)
• 9:15am - 9:25am - Get into Crews
• 9:30am - 11:30am - Orientation Activities
• 11:30am - Students dismissed to parents; Parents and families are welcome to join their students on campus to tour the campus, get lunch/snacks, or finish any of the Panther Pick-Up Stations.

What to Bring

• Backpack only if you plan on attending Panther Pick-Up Stations afterwards. You will be checking out a Chromebook and charger.
• Cell Phone (with parent permission) - Download the Minga.io app prior to arriving and we will assist you with logging in at Panther Pick-Up.

• Cash if you want to purchase anything at the Lunch & Snacks available for sale.
• Bottled water will be provided, or bring your own water bottle (we have refill stations throughout campus).

What to Wear

• Dress-code appropriate attire.
• Comfy shoes (you will be walking on a campus tour).
• Sun protection (sunscreen, hat, etc.)

• Stop by during Panther Pick-Up Days (8:30am-3:30pm on 7/30 and 7/31) and get one-on-one assistance. We have laptops available for parent use!
