Free Application for Federal Student Aid

• Current seniors need to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

• The FAFSA window opens (click here).  The first to apply are the more likely to qualify for aid $$.

• Colleges use this data to determine your federal aid and CalGrant (a free money opportunity) eligibility.

• Many states and colleges use FAFSA data to award their own campus aid as well.

• After submission, you will receive your Student Aid Report. Learn more... 

• Attending Sierra College or any California Community College for the FREE TUITION PROGRAM? Students must complete the FAFSA to qualify. 

Not planning on going to College?

• We strongly encourage ALL of our high school seniors to complete the FAFSA, it costs nothing to apply. 

• You may be eligible for grants or federal aid.

• You may find that attending college may be right for you.

• Some students who do not plan on attending college, later change their mind.

• We want everyone to have all of the opportunities possible.

• Completing it sooner than later, this improves your chances of  qualifying for an award ($$).

• Stop by the Career Center for computer access and in person assistance.

College & Career Center

You are now enrolled in the Personal Finance Course in your Canvas classroom. As a reminder, this is a graduation requirement!! It is comprised of 4 units, 4 quizzes and one final exam.

The final exam is proctored in person, and will be offered once a month on the last Tuesday of the month in room F306. Once you have completed all 4 units of the PFC, you may sign up to take the exam. If you have 4th off, we will have a time where you can take your final directly after 3rd period.

Do NOT wait to get this done! It is required for graduation, and could keep you from participating in Senior activities. MUST BE COMPLETED BY SKI WEEK (FEBRUARY WEEK-LONG BREAK) or you may be placed on the No-Go List and cannot attend Senior Activities!

Cap, Gown & Tassel

All students are required to wear a cap, gown, and tassel at the graduation ceremony, which can be purchased through Josten's. This beautiful cap and gown are navy blue (the tassel is still being decided upon). Students will purchase these items and may keep them after the graduation ceremony to always remember.

• If you cannot afford to pay for the cap, gown, and tassel, please reach out to our sales rep (contact information provided below).
• Caps may not be decorated at the time of the ceremony.
• Caps, gowns and tassels will be delivered to the school site and distributed in May.
• Shipping and handling costs do apply to each student's order, including items delivered to the school site. If you have questions, please reach out to our Josten's rep (contact info below).
• Must order by December 1st, 2025 before price goes up!

Graduation Announcements

The official West Park Graduation Announcements are available for purchase on the Jostens website, as well as other styles you can customize. This beautiful announcement will include our official colors, an embossed crest, and a few additional enhancements. You may also order supplemental paper goods, such as Name Cards, Photo Cards, Return Address Labels, Thank You Cards, and more.

• Students may order their graduation announcements through any other business. 
• Grad announcements will be shipped to the students' home.

Senior Chromebooks

Seniors! If you want to purchase your RJUHSD Chromebook to own as your personal device after graduation for only $40, you must purchase by May 2nd! Available for purchase in person only at the Finance Office during the normal business hours! You can pay with cash, check (payable to WPHS) or card/tap to pay (applicable fees apply). Transition Night Zoom - learn how students with IEP's and 504's can get ready for their transition to college.

How to check to see if the Chromebook you have is the one we have checked out to you.

1. Log on to your Aeries account.
2. Click on student information.
3. Click on resources/assets.
4. Make sure the asset tag (red and white stick on the bottom of your Chromebook starting with "DE") is the same as the asset tag assigned to you.

Seniors! Dress in your cap and gown and visit your former elementary school during the selected dates and times to show off your accomplishment and to help motivate and inspire the youth!

The Senior Passport is a small form that students are issued to document their progress through the check-out process. 

• Where can the form be picked up? Finance Office or Library
• When is the form available for pick-up? All of May
• What does the form look like? (Image)
• Who needs to sign the form? Library and Finance Offices which is done when books, textbooks, and laptops are returned and all fines are paid.
• What do I do after the form is completely signed in all four places? Take a photo of it and hold onto it until Senior Picnic on May 28th. This will be your ticket to enter all Senior Activities on this day.
