Graduation

Our facility is ADA accessible, with designated seating available both in the stands on the field. All guests are required to wear a wristband.

• Coolers are not permitted.
• All bags/purses are subject to search.
• Student graduates may not bring bags or purses. Please leave all bags (large or small) at home. Students may not leave anything in the gym or any classrooms/buildings.
• Guests may bring small purses.
• Visitors may bring umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun, but must close them when the ceremony starts. EZ-Ups are not permitted.

To ensure all of our guests can enjoy the viewing and celebration of their graduate, we ask that families do not bring balloons and noise-makers into the stands during the ceremony. Posters and pompoms, however, are welcome, but please be mindful of guests seated behind you.

Students may not decorate their cap at the ceremony. Caps that are decorated will be confiscated by administration and returned to the student at the conclusion of the ceremony.

The Graduation Ceremony will be Livestreamed and shown in the Panther Arena (Gym) for ticket holders who prefer an indoor option with air conditioning. 

After the ceremony, students may pick up their diplomas upstairs by the Ticket Booth (30 minutes after the ceremony ends). 

Only the graduate may pick up the diploma. Students may wait to pick up their diplomas until the following Monday 8:00am-4:00pm. All fees must be paid in advance before the diploma will be released.

Keep your diploma in a safe place. Duplicates will not be made available.

What will be available for sale:
Bottled water in the stadium ($1 cash only at the Snack Bar and behind the Home Stands). Urban Sips Food Truck will be here selling beverages.

Food
Food will not be available. Please do not bring outside food into the stadium or gym.

Water
Visitors may bring un-opened/sealed bottled water only. We will also be selling water (see above). Graduates will be provided bottled water.

Coolers
Not permitted. Please leave coolers at home.

Alcohol/Outside Food
Not permitted. Please do not bring alcohol or outside food/beverages.

Graduates will wear the approved cap, gown, and tassel (see link above to order) during the ceremony. Clothing worn underneath must adhere to our Dress Code Policy.

Shoes
Stilettos and pointed heels are NOT permitted on the field as it will damage the turf. Wedges and block heels are permitted, but please be aware that graduates will be crossing elevated ramps and stages, so please make sure you are comfortable in walking in your shoe choice. In most cases your shoes will be visible for photo opportunities, and we want you to look your best for this once in a lifetime occasion.  

Accessories
Sunglasses when seated are permitted but not on the way to your seat or on the platform while receiving a diploma.

Purses/Handbags
Student graduates may not bring purses or backpacks. Graduates will not have a secured location to store it. Please leave your personal items with your loved ones or at home. 

Leis
Graduates may wear cultural or religious attire (such as the Kukui Nut lei worn in the Polynesian culture).

Medals & Awards
Graduates who earned a medal or stole received at the Senior Awards Night are encouraged to wear it at over their gowns during the ceremony (view details).

Etc.
No noisemakers, beach balls, or individual outbursts.

We have very limited parking availability. We ask that all parents, students, and staff to please carpool. Students, please have your families drop you off.

Ticket Information

All Seniors will receive a total of 10 free tickets:

• 4 GREEN WRISTBAND (tickets) for seats on the field and
• 6 LAVENDAR WRISTBAND (tickets) for seats in the stands.

Distribution will be on Wednesday, May 28th at 12:00PM at the Senior Picnic.

If you need additional tickets, opportunities will be made available at Grad Practice on Thursday May 29th. Grads must be present to obtain the tickets - no exceptions.

Qualify for Tickets

Students must complete the Passport (issued through the check-out process) before they can receive Graduation Tickets. This means all school property has been returned to the school and no fines are pending.  

All persons over the age of 2 requires a ticket (2 and under must sit on the lap).

!!! May only participate if all obligations are taken care of (textbooks, fines, laptops) !!!

Grad Practice

• 5/29 at 11:30am on the field (come prepared with comfortable shoes and clothes, wear sun protection

Graduation Ceremony 5/30 @ 7:30pm (delayed due to heat)

• Students must arrive NO LATER than 6:45 (gates to the stadium will open to families at 6:30 p.m.)
• 7:30pm - Ceremony begins
• 9:30pm - Buses arrive at WPHS for Sober Grad Night
• 12:30am-3:30am - Sober Grad Night 

Graduates must attend practice to participate in the ceremony. Those that do not attend practice will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony. NO EXCEPTIONS.

To save parking spaces, please do not have students drive their own cars, especially if they are attending Sober Grad Night as parking lot gates will be locked overnight.
