What to Bring & Wear to Freshmen Orientation!

What to Pack & Do for Orientation Day

We are so excited to meet you! Here are a few items you should bring and note to better prepare for the full day of activities and registration:

• Dress Appropriately - we always dress for success at West Park, so please dress according to our Dress Code Policy. As a general rule of thumb:
  • Tops should cover from the armpits across the chest and back.
  • Midriffs may be shown as long as the majority of the torso is covered.
  • Bottoms may not show "cheeks" when walking. 
• Bring a backpack - you will be bringing home your district-issued laptop, charger, and a lot more!
• Bring sun protection (e.g. hat, sunglasses, sunscreen) - you'll be outside for parts of registration and campus tours.
• Bring a bottle of water - we have water refill stations located throughout campus for your convenience.
• Might bring a hoodie - sometimes our air conditioner can be a little too cold for some. If you get cold easily, feel free to bring a light hoodie to throw on when indoors.
• Wear comfortable shoes - we will be taking you on tours of our beautiful, but large, campus, as well as doing some fun activities with your Link Crew Leaders, so be sure to wear shoes that you can easily walk in and do activities in.
• Touch-Up Items - you will be taking your yearbook photos today, so bring your touch-up hair and make-up items. 
• Receipt - if you purchased items online, be sure to bring your receipt.
