Lead the Way

Be the voice of the West Park Panthers—join Student Government! As a member of Student Government, you’ll take the lead in planning some of the most exciting events on campus, from rallies and dances to spirit weeks and fundraisers. You'll help shape school policies, represent your classmates, and make sure every Panther feels heard and included. If you’re passionate about leadership, school spirit, and making a difference, this is your moment to step up.

Opportunities for Freshman

Leadership is for incoming freshman that want to get involved in activities and student Government. Students will learn the skills needed to be an effective leader, such as understanding personality and leadership styles, time and stress management, conflict resolution, group dynamics, and public speaking. In addition, students, will partner with Student Government to inspire and build School spirit, plan and coordinate school activities, and provide help and support to other groups and staff on campus. Skills learned will be useful in Student Government, Athletics, and other, co-curricular activities as well as work experiences and career preparation outside of school.

Student will have some outside class event and commitments they will need to attend, such as:

  • Homecoming Float Decorating
  • Homecoming Dance Set-Up & Clean-Up
  • The Claw (Student Section) Set-Up & Clean-Up
  • Back to School Night
  • Panther Preview Night
  • & More!
