Parent Pick-Up/Reunification

In the event of a school evacuation and it is deemed unsafe or too much of a disruption to return to class, or an incident that results in a large-scale pick-up of students, we will implement the Parent Pick-Up/Reunification process. This protocol is used when a situation occurs during the school day prior to dismissal.

 

Update Emergency Contacts 
Should you have a neighbor or friend coming to pick up your student who is not already listed as an Emergency Contact, simply login to your Parent Portal/Homelink account to update. Updates instantly!

Please complete any updates prior to arriving to avoid slowing down the process. Students will only be released to Emergency Contacts - no exceptions will be made to ensure the student's safety.

If you cannot or you prefer not to pick up your student early, we will have staff available to provide them the following: snacks, water, medical care, mental health support, and anything else they may need until school's official dismissal time.

 

Government-Issued ID Required
Please bring a government-issued ID and have it in-hand prior to entering the parking lot.



Map & Traffic Flow
During a large-scale parent pick-up, we will organize the parking lots into a one-way traffic flow to allow one entrance and one exit. Parents will remain in their vehicles throughout the entire process. Persons will not be permitted on campus, including access to the Admin Offices. Administrators and staff will be equipped with radios and accessible throughout the line of traffic to address concerns and assist parents as needed. Police will also be present to ensure a calm and fast student check-out.

A Google Form with QR Code may be provided at the entrance of the parking lot for parents/guardians to submit their pick-up request. Please do not share this link with others or post to social media to avoid congestion in our process. Should technology be unavailable, printed forms will be used in place of the QR Code.
